When illuminated, the twelve internal lights diffuse through hand-cut slabs of genuine Spanish Alabaster, transforming the stone from a cool, monolithic sculpture into a warm, amber-hued vessel of light. The tiered, geometric profile nods to the opulence of 1920s Art Deco, while the ruched velvet suspension sleeves add a bespoke layer of tactile softness, dampening the industrial edge to create a dining atmosphere that is intimate, acoustic, and profoundly luxurious.

Materiality & Provenance

We reject the industry trend of acrylic and resin faux-stone. The Volterra is constructed from 100% quarried alabaster, selected specifically for its cloudy, smoke-like veining which guarantees no two fixtures are identical. The substantial stone tiers are anchored by a frame of solid copper (finished in a warm, satin brushed brass tone), chosen for its superior weight and resistance to corrosion compared to standard steel. This is a fixture with "heirloom weight"—cold to the touch and built to outlast the building it inhabits.

Engineering safety is paramount for a fixture of this mass. Unlike drop-shipped imitations, The Volterra undergoes a rigorous 'White Glove' inspection in our workshop. We reinforce the load-bearing chassis to prevent fatigue and test the electrical harness for 48 hours to ensure thermal stability within the stone enclosure. Recognizing the fragility of alabaster, this fixture is not shipped in standard cardboard; it is crated in reinforced plywood with high-density foam suspension, fully insured for global transit and ready for professional installation.
