It measures 127 cm (50") across and 56 cm (22") high, and hangs on a 100 cm (39.4") rod.

The finish

The red finish makes the chandelier the accent of the room; it sits best against ivory, oak and plain plaster, where the colour has space to read. The arms are thick, precision-bent stainless steel tubing, so the curves read as fluid and the piece carries real presence in the room.

The light

Sixteen points of light spread around a wide circle give an even ambient light across a large room rather than one hot spot, and the frosted caps hide every lamp from below. At 2700K the glass glows warm. With sixteen lamps it lights a great room on its own; fit it on a dimmer to bring it down for evenings.

Sizing and placement

At 127 cm it is made for a great room, a double-height entry or a hotel lobby, or over a dining table of 240 cm (94") and longer. Over a table, hang the arms 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35") above the surface; with the standard rod the overall drop is about 156 cm (61"), which suits ceilings from about 3.1 m (10 ft). Over a walkway, keep at least 2.1 m (7 ft) clear beneath it. The rod is made shorter or longer to order.

Installation

Hardwired. It weighs about 22 to 28 kg (49 to 62 lb), so it needs a heavy-duty ceiling fixing; have your electrician fit a structural mount before hanging. A sloped ceiling adapter is available on request.

Lamping

Sixteen G9 lamps, warm white at 2700K. Bulbs are not included.

Care

Dust the arms with a soft dry cloth. Wipe the glass caps with a damp cloth and dry them. For indoor use only.

Made to order

Rod length and finish can be specified before production; the Grand Candelabra is also made in black, champagne and green. A sloped ceiling adapter and dimming are available on request.
