The brim shades the eye and throws a pool of light downward, while the brass catches a warm reflection on its underside.

The light

The opal dome hides the lamp entirely and spreads a soft, even light onto the table or counter below; the brim keeps glare out of eyeline when you are seated. At 2700K the glass glows a warm amber against the brass.

Two sizes

The small brim is 35.5 cm (14") across and suits a row of two or three over a kitchen island, spaced about 75 cm (30") apart, or a single pendant over a bedside or reading chair. The large brim is 60.3 cm (23.7") across and is made to hang alone over a dining table of 1.5 to 2 m (5 to 6.5 ft).

Suspension

The rod is made up of linked brass segments, so the drop is set at installation, up to a maximum hanging distance of 366 cm (144") from the ceiling. Over a table, set the brim 75 to 85 cm (30 to 34") above the surface. A sloped ceiling adapter is available.

Lamping and installation

One E26 lamp holder (E27 outside North America). Warm white LED at 2700K.
