The fluting gives the brass a crisp, Art Deco line; the stone below is soft and rounded, with its natural veining glowing through when lit.

The stone

Every shade is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, chosen for translucency, so the light passes through the stone itself and the veining shows as warm, cloud-like markings. No two shades are the same; each is selected by hand for its pattern before assembly. At 2700K the stone glows honey-white.

Sizing and placement

At 32 cm (12.6") across and 26.9 cm (10.6") high, it sits slightly below the ceiling on its stem, so the stone is seen in profile as well as from beneath. It suits a bedroom, a hallway, a dressing room or a landing with a ceiling of 2.4 m (8 ft) or more.

Lamping and installation

One E14 lamp holder (E12 in North America). Warm white LED at 2700K. Hardwired; have a qualified electrician install it.

Care

Switch off and let the lamp cool. Dust the alabaster with a soft dry cloth; never use water or cleaning products on the stone, which is porous.
