honey-onyx-pendant-light-slim-stone-clj4442-ho
Honey Onyx Pendant Light | Slim Stone | CLJ4442-HO

The Slim Honey Onyx Pendant is a narrow cylinder of honey onyx hung on a textile cable beneath a wooden ceiling canopy. It comes in two heights: 25 cm (9.8″) and 35 cm (13.8″). The 25 cm version is 5 cm (2″) wide; the 35 cm version is 6 cm (2.4″) wide. It hangs on a 170 cm (66.9″) adjustable cable. Use one beside a bed or in a hallway, or group several at different heights over a dining table or kitchen island.

The onyx

Honey onyx is a banded natural stone, translucent where it is cut thin. Bands of honey, amber and cream run through it, with cloudy passages between them, so the pattern and depth of colour are different on every piece. When the lamp is off, the cylinder reads as a warm, banded stone. When it is on, the light comes through the walls and the bands glow from inside. No two are the same.

Why warm light matters

Onyx takes on the temperature of the lamp inside it. At 2700K the honey and amber bands glow deep and warm. Cooler light flattens the colour. A cool white version is also offered, but on this piece warm white is part of the design.

Sizing and placement

The 25 cm (9.8″) height suits a bedside, where it can hang in place of a table lamp, or a narrow hallway. The 35 cm (13.8″) height has more presence and suits a kitchen island or dining table. Over a table or island, use two to five in a line or a loose cluster, and hang the bottom 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface.

Suspension

The pendant hangs on a 170 cm (66.9″) textile cable from a wooden canopy, adjusted to the height you need at installation. A longer or shorter cable can be made to order.

Lamping and installation

One lamp per pendant, G9 or E27 depending on the destination country. Warm white LED at 2700K, or cool white if chosen. The bulb is not included. The pendant weighs about 2 to 3 kg (4.4 to 6.6 lb). It is hardwired and rated IP20, for indoor use.

Care

Switch off and let the lamp cool. Dust with a soft dry cloth only. Keep water, acidic cleaners and sprays away from the stone, which marks easily.

Made to order

Every pendant is made to order.
