long-selenite
Selenite Linear Chandelier | Brass | CLND057

This linear chandelier is a long band of natural selenite crystals hung beneath a brass canopy on two slim rods. It comes in two lengths: 137 cm (54") with sixteen lights, or 183 cm (72") with twenty-two. The crystals are set close together at staggered lengths, so the light passes through the stone and the whole band glows.

The stone

Selenite is a soft, translucent mineral that grows in long fibrous crystals. Each crystal differs in tone, length and clarity, so no two chandeliers are the same, and the edges stay natural and slightly irregular.

Sizing and placement

The 137 cm is 29 cm (11.4") deep and 42 cm (16.5") high, for a dining table of about 200 to 240 cm (79 to 94") or a kitchen island. The 183 cm is 30 cm (11.8") deep and 45 cm (17.7") high, for a table of 240 cm (94") and longer. Hang the base 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35") above the table. It is supplied with an adjustable suspension of up to 180 cm (70.9"), and longer rods are made to order.

Lamping and installation

Sixteen or twenty-two E14 bulbs (E12 for North America), 4W LED at warm white 2700K, bulbs included. Hardwired. The 183 cm weighs about 102 kg (224 lb), so it needs a structural ceiling fixing; have your electrician fit it to a joist or reinforced blocking. For dry indoor use.

Made to order

Each chandelier is made to order in 2 to 3 weeks, then shipped in 3 to 4 weeks.
