amber-textured-glass-flush-mount-ip44-clqtf034
Amber Textured Glass Flush Mount | Quatrefoil | CLQTF034

This flush mount is a deep shade of amber glass with a rippled, cast texture, shaped as a soft four-lobed quatrefoil and held to the ceiling by a brass plate. The texture catches the light across its whole surface, so even switched off it reads as a piece of glass art rather than a fitting.

The glass

The amber runs through the body of the glass and the surface is uneven by design, so the light breaks into a warm, honeyed glow with highlights wherever the glass thickens. At 2700K the tone deepens to gold; cooler light turns amber brown and flat.

Sizing and placement

At 34 cm (13.4") across and 21.2 cm (8.3") deep, it suits a bathroom, a hallway, an entrance or a bedroom, and brings warmth to rooms where a pendant would be in the way. The IP44 rating means it is built for splash exposure, so it can be specified in a bathroom outside the wet zones defined by local electrical code.

Lamping and installation

Two E26 lamp holders (E27 outside North America). Warm white LED at 2700K. Hardwired; have a qualified electrician fix it to the ceiling.

Care

Switch off and let the lamps cool. Dust with a soft dry cloth or brush, which reaches into the texture of the glass. For a deeper clean, use a damp microfibre cloth with a little mild glass cleaner applied to the cloth. Wipe the brass dry.

Specifications

Size: W 34 cm × H 21.2 cm (W 13.4" × H 8.3")

Materials: textured amber glass and brass

Lamps: 2 × E26 (E27 outside North America), bulbs not included

IP rating: IP44

Mounting: flush ceiling installation, hardwired

Made to order

Every piece is made to order in our workshop.
