slim-green-onyx-pendant-clj4442-go
Green Onyx Pendant Light | Slim Stone | CLJ4442-GO

The Slim Green Onyx Pendant is a narrow cylinder of green onyx hung on a textile cable beneath a wooden ceiling canopy. It comes in two heights: 25 cm (9.8″) and 35 cm (13.8″). The 25 cm version is 5 cm (2″) wide; the 35 cm version is 6 cm (2.4″) wide. It hangs on a 170 cm (66.9″) adjustable cable. Use one beside a bed or in a hallway, or group several at different heights over a dining table or kitchen island.

The onyx

Green onyx is a banded natural stone, translucent where it is cut thin. Pale jade, sage and olive tones run through it with cream mineral bands and occasional warm inclusions, so the colour and pattern are different on every piece. Off, the cylinder reads as cool, banded stone. On, warm light passes through the thinner layers and the jade tones glow, while the denser bands stay darker.

Why warm light matters

At 2700K the green onyx glows soft jade and the cream bands warm up. Cooler light makes the green look cold. A cool white version is also offered, but on this piece warm white is part of the design.

Sizing and placement

The 25 cm (9.8″) height suits a bedside, where it can hang in place of a table lamp, or a narrow hallway. The 35 cm (13.8″) height has more presence and suits a kitchen island or dining table. Over a table or island, use two to five in a line or a loose cluster, and hang the bottom 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface.

Suspension

The pendant hangs on a 170 cm (66.9″) textile cable from a wooden canopy, adjusted to the height you need at installation. A longer or shorter cable can be made to order.

Lamping and installation

One lamp per pendant, G9 or E27 depending on the destination country. Warm white LED at 2700K, or cool white if chosen. The bulb is not included. The pendant weighs about 2 to 3 kg (4.4 to 6.6 lb). It is hardwired and rated IP20, for indoor use.

Care

Switch off and let the lamp cool. Dust with a soft dry cloth only.
