crystal-basket-flush-mount-brass-clcrb046
Crystal Basket Flush Mount | Cast Brass Finial | CLCRB046

This flush mount is a full dome of faceted glass crystals strung in rows on a fine brass frame, finished with a beaded brass rim at the ceiling and a cast brass finial at the base. It is the classic Parisian basket form, built close to the ceiling so it works where a chandelier would be too much.

The crystal

Each crystal is cut with facets that break the light into small points, so the dome sparkles across the ceiling and walls while the lamps inside stay softened. Warm white at 2700K gives a golden glow through the glass; cool light makes crystal read sharp and blue.

Sizing and placement

At 45.7 cm (18") across and 26 cm (10.25") deep, it suits a bedroom, a dressing room or walk-in closet, an entrance hall or a powder room with a ceiling of 2.4 m (8 ft) or more. Over a bed, centre it on the room rather than the headboard.

Lamping and installation

Three E12 candelabra lamp holders (E14 outside North America). Warm white LED at 2700K, ideally clear filament lamps so the crystal has a point of light to work with. The fixture weighs 3.9 kg (8.6 lb) and is hardwired; have a qualified electrician install it.

Care

Switch off and let the lamps cool. Dust the crystals with a soft brush or feather duster. For a deeper clean, wipe them with a microfibre cloth lightly dampened with diluted glass cleaner, applied to the cloth and never sprayed onto the fixture.

Specifications

Size: Ø 45.7 cm × H 26 cm (Ø 18" × H 10.25")

Weight: 3.9 kg (8.6 lb)

Materials: faceted glass crystal and brass

Lamps: 3 × E12 (E14 outside North America), bulbs not included

Mounting: flush ceiling installation, hardwired

Made to order

Every piece is made to order in our workshop.
