Made of Alabaster, Brass. Solid natural alabaster, cut thick enough to glow evenly when lit; the veining and clouding are unique to each piece and never repeat. It is heavier than it looks and cool to the touch — the two easiest ways to tell real stone from resin, which glows flat and feels warm. Solid brass, not plated steel: heavier, it does not chip or peel, and it develops a soft patina that can be polished back at any time.Every Casalola piece is made to order, not taken from stock: the material is checked against the approved sample, the wiring, socket and driver are tested live, and the finished lamp is test-lit and photographed before it is crated.

This piece takes G9 bulbs, not included, so you choose the brightness. As a guide, a standard 350-lumen LED in each socket gives soft ambient light; for a dining or kitchen island use 1,000–1,200 lumens per socket. Bulb count is on the spec sheet. The alabaster diffuses the light, so the effect is warm and even rather than bright.

Dry, soft cloth only. Alabaster, travertine and marble are porous natural stone: water, sprays and chemicals soak in and leave marks that cannot be removed, so never use a damp cloth on the stone. Metal parts: dry microfiber cloth. Unlacquered brass and copper patinate naturally; a mild brass polish restores the original tone if preferred, kept away from any stone or fabric. Switch the light off and let it cool before cleaning.
