The pendant cluster that holds a room together.
A composition of sculptural pendants suspended at varied heights from a slim brass canopy — the kind of fixture that becomes the visual anchor of whatever room it's installed in. The silhouettes draw from mid-century Italian lighting: clean cylindrical and conical forms, hung at different lengths so the eye reads the piece as composition rather than repetition. Brass hardware warms the palette; translucent diffusers soften the light into an even ambient glow across every pendant.
This is a fixture that works in more rooms than almost any other piece in our catalog, which is why designers keep coming back to it.
Where it belongs:
Dining room. Hung over the center of a 6–10 seat dining table, with the lowest pendant dropping 30–34" above the tabletop. The staggered heights break the symmetry of a standard round or linear chandelier and give the table the presence of a designed space rather than a furnished one. Works over rectangular, oval, and round tables equally — the cluster pattern adapts.
Kitchen island. Above a standard 7–9 ft island, the cluster becomes a linear run of pendants — functional task lighting without the industrial look of matching barn-style pendants. Works beautifully over marble, quartz, walnut, and butcher-block counters. The warm brass reads against both cool (white, gray) and warm (wood, cream) kitchen palettes.
Stairwell. In a two-story stairwell, the cluster descends as a vertical cascade, pendants at graduated drops following the rise of the stairs. One of the rare fixture types that reads equally well from the upper and lower landing.
Entryway and foyer. In a double-height entry, the cluster hangs as a constellation over the main door, greeting arriving guests at eye level from the lower floor and as a sculptural ceiling element from above. In a single-story foyer, a smaller configuration sits centered over the entry console.
Living room. Over a coffee table or the center of a seating group, the cluster provides ambient layered lighting without the formality of a chandelier. Works in mid-century modern, contemporary, transitional, Japandi, organic modern, and warm minimalist interiors.
Great room or open-plan space. In a large open living-dining-kitchen floor plan, the cluster defines the central zone — the architectural element that separates "one big room" from "three connected rooms."
Bedroom. Over the foot of the bed in a primary suite, as an alternative to bedside table lamps. The dimmable warm glow makes it read as atmosphere rather than overhead light.
Commercial and hospitality. Specified regularly for boutique hotels, restaurants, wine bars, private clubs, and cafés. The cluster reads as custom-designed rather than off-the-shelf, which is the quality hospitality designers look for.
About the design.
Inspired by the mid-century Italian lighting tradition — think Gino Sarfatti's compositional work at Arteluce, Gaetano Sciolari's chandelier clusters for hotel projects, Angelo Lelli's suspension pieces — the cluster format was pioneered in post-war Italian design as an alternative to the single-center-pendant chandelier. Its revival in contemporary interiors owes to designers like Apparatus, Michael Anastassiades, and Lindsey Adelman, who reintroduced the idea of multi-pendant compositions to the American and European luxury markets.
This piece sits in that lineage. Not a single statement fixture, but a deliberate composition.
Styles: Mid-Century Modern, Modern, Contemporary, Transitional, Japandi, Organic Modern, Industrial-Modern, Scandinavian, Quiet Luxury, Boutique Hotel.
Customizable — composition, finish, and cable length.
