Atmosphäre & Beleuchtung

Die Cortina ist eine Studie geologischer Dramatik, die an einen eingefrorenen Wasserfall in der Stille erinnert. Bestehend aus Hunderten handgespaltenen natürlichen Selenitkristallen verwandelt die Leuchte hartes elektrisches Licht in ein sanftes, ätherisches Mondlicht. Die gezackten, unregelmäßigen Kanten des Steins fangen die interne Beleuchtung ein und brechen sie durch die faserigen Schichten des Gipskristalls, um eine ruhige, reinigende Atmosphäre zu schaffen. Sie ist ein monolithisches Herzstück, das große Esszimmer oder Master-Suiten mit der Präsenz eines hängenden Gletschers verankert.

Materialität & Konstruktion

Authentizität ist die Seele dieser Leuchte. Wir lehnen den Industriestandard ab, gegossenes Harz oder "K9"-Glas zur Steinsimulation zu verwenden. Die Cortina nutzt authentischen, abgebauten Selenit (Gipskristall), ausgewählt wegen seiner perlmuttartigen Opazität und einzigartigen Bruchlinien. Diese schweren Mineralstücke sind an einem Rahmen aus massivem gebürstetem Kupfer befestigt. Wir wählten Kupfer nicht nur wegen seiner luxuriösen Wärme – die durch die Lücken im Stein schimmert – sondern auch wegen seiner überlegenen Duktilität und Korrosionsbeständigkeit, wodurch der Rahmen niemals rostet oder die makellosen weißen Kristalle verfärbt.

Der Casalola-Standard

Technische Sicherheit ist unser oberstes Luxusprinzip. Da Selenit ein dichtes Mineral ist, ist die Cortina deutlich schwerer als ein Standard-Glas-Kronleuchter. Die zentrale Kupferachse ist mit einem stahlverstärkten tragenden Kern versehen, um Durchbiegung zu verhindern. Jeder Kristall ist vorgebohrt und mechanisch gesichert (nicht verklebt), was natürliche thermische Ausdehnung ermöglicht. Die Leuchte wird mit abgenommenen Kristallen und einzeln in hochdichtem Schaumstoff verpackt geliefert, um Reibung während des Transports zu vermeiden, und kommt mit einer "Karte" für die präzise Wiederanbringung durch Ihren Elektriker.
