Unlike MDF cores with veneer wraps or resin “wood-look” castings, a solid-wood base carries real mass and sharper edge definition, reducing wobble and avoiding the hollow feel that signals commodity production. The linen shade avoids synthetic sheen, producing a dry, architectural glow with softened contrast.
Lounge-height by design: at 137cm (54"), the Kyoto Totem floor lamp is intentionally scaled for seated light—beside low-profile sofas, reading chairs, and as an atmospheric bedside companion. The light plane sits closer to seated eye level, creating an intimate pool of warmth rather than a double-height uplight effect.

The 137cm height is a lounge-height spec for low seating and bedside use. High-ceiling rooms needing vertical presence typically require 155–170cm+ proportions; the Kyoto Totem floor lamp is designed for intimate, seated-scale light.
