In tegenstelling tot lichtgewicht aluminium buizen of dun geplateerd staal dat na verloop van tijd deukt en wiebelt, biedt het ijzeren vloerlampframe een hogere stijfheid en een stabielere houding, wat vooral belangrijk is bij een hoogte van 162,5 cm.
