Sfeer & verlichting
De Cortina is een studie in geologische drama, die doet denken aan een bevroren waterval die in stilte hangt. Bestaat uit honderden met de hand gespleten natuurlijke Selenietkristallen, transformeert het armatuur hard elektrisch licht in een zachte, etherische maanlichtgloed. De gekartelde, onregelmatige randen van de steen vangen de interne verlichting op en breken deze door de vezelige lagen van het gipskristal om een serene, reinigende sfeer te creëren. Het is een monolithisch middelpunt ontworpen om grote eetkamers of hoofdsuites te verankeren met de aanwezigheid van een hangende gletsjer.
Materialiteit & Constructie
Authenticiteit is de ziel van dit armatuur. Wij verwerpen de industriestandaard van het gebruik van gegoten hars of "K9" glas om steen te simuleren. De Cortina maakt gebruik van authentieke, gedolven Seleniet (Gipskristal), geselecteerd vanwege de parelachtige ondoorzichtigheid en unieke breuklijnen. Deze zware mineraalfragmenten zijn verankerd aan een chassis van massief geborsteld koper. We kozen koper niet alleen vanwege de luxueuze warmte—die door de openingen in de steen heen schijnt—maar ook vanwege de superieure ductiliteit en corrosiebestendigheid, waardoor het frame nooit roest of de ongerepte witte kristallen verkleurt.
De Casalola Standaard
Technische veiligheid is onze primaire luxe. Omdat Seleniet een dicht mineraal is, is de Cortina aanzienlijk zwaarder dan een standaard glazen kroonluchter. De centrale koperen ruggengraat is versterkt met een stalen dragende kern om doorbuigen te voorkomen. Elke kristal is voorgeboord en mechanisch bevestigd (niet gelijmd), wat natuurlijke thermische uitzetting mogelijk maakt. Het armatuur wordt geleverd met de kristallen los en individueel verpakt in hoogwaardig schuim om slijtage tijdens transport te voorkomen, en wordt geleverd met een "kaart" voor nauwkeurige herinstallatie door uw elektricien.
