I. De Sfeer
De Viterbo staat als een sculpturaal monoliet, die de kloof overbrugt tussen functionele verlichting en beeldende kunst. Zijn silhouet wordt bepaald door een dramatisch samenspel van gewicht en gewichtloosheid—de aardende zwaartekracht van de donkere voet die een wolkachtige, cascaderende kap ondersteunt. Wanneer verlicht, verspreidt het ingewikkelde plooienpatroon van het linnen licht in een zachte, sfeervolle gloed, die ritmische schaduwen werpt die architecturale diepte toevoegen aan stille hoeken, leeslounges of minimalistische entrees.
II. De Materialiteit
We verwerpen het gebruik van holle hars of faux-steen fineer. De conische voet is gedraaid uit massief, zwaar hout, afgewerkt met een diepe, geëboniseerde textuur die de organische nerf benadrukt en een aardende, matzwarte esthetiek biedt. De kap bestaat uit premium, hoog-GSM natuurlijk linnen, handgevouwen in complexe, stijve plooien die hun vorm behouden zonder lelijke draadkooien. Dit is eerlijke materiaalkunde—koel aanvoelend, solide van binnen, en veroudert prachtig in de tijd.
III. De Casalola Standaard
Elke Viterbo-lamp ondergaat een rigoureuze afwerking in onze werkplaats in Rome. De elektrische componenten worden niet zomaar gemonteerd, maar ontworpen; we gebruiken massief koperen fittingen en hoogwaardige bedrading, getest op continuïteit en hittebestendigheid vóór definitieve goedkeuring. We begrijpen de kwetsbaarheid van de geplooide kap, daarom wordt deze unit verzonden in een versterkte houten kist met ophangschuim, volledig verzekerd tegen transportschade. Aangepaste kabellengtes en stekkertypes (EU/US/UK) worden vooraf gecontroleerd.
