Solid carved alabaster. One block.
A square block of hand-carved Italian alabaster, hollowed from a single piece of stone, mounted to a slim solid brass frame and set flush to the ceiling. No panels, no assembly seams, no glued-together construction — the entire fixture body is one continuous block of carved stone. Solid carving matters at this scale: a 45cm or 60cm alabaster cube is significant material, and carving from a single block (rather than assembling four panels plus a top plate) means no seam lines, continuous veining wrapping around the corners, and light from inside that catches without assembly gaps.
Placement. The 35cm (14") suits a bathroom (especially over a freestanding tub, where the IP65 rating matters), a closet or dressing room, a powder room, or a series down a hallway; the 45cm (18") anchors a primary bathroom, a foyer with 9–10ft ceilings, or a walk-in closet; the 60cm (24") is the statement flush mount — a great room, large primary bedroom or open-plan space with 8–9ft ceilings where a chandelier would feel too imposing, or a commercial/hospitality ceiling.
About the alabaster. Each Quadro is hand-carved from a single block of Italian alabaster, hollowed from the inside to house the bulbs and refined by hand until the wall thickness is consistent. Because it starts as one block, the veining wraps continuously around all four sides — no seam lines, corners that read as carved rather than assembled. Between fixtures every Quadro is unique. Choose the veining at checkout: more (heavily patterned, dramatic mineral lines), less (softer, milkier, more uniformly translucent), or random selection from stock.
About the brass. The top mounting frame, ceiling plate and all hardware are solid brass, not plated — solid because the alabaster's weight (Quadro 60 at ~20 kg) puts continuous load on the frame. Default finish is brushed brass; chrome, brushed nickel or matte black available on request, all at the same price.
IP65 wet-rated as standard. Quadro ships IP65 wet-rated by default, not as an upgrade — sealed driver, gasketed canopy, wet-rated LED-compatible socket. Approved for bathrooms including direct above-shower and above-tub zones, covered outdoor areas, indoor pool decks and spa rooms, and hospitality wet zones. Most premium alabaster flush mounts ship damp-rated only; Quadro's IP65 standard expands where it can be specified and reduces design risk for bathroom installations.
Bulbs and light. Quadro 35: 2 × G9, total ~80W — primary light for ~50 sq ft. Quadro 45: 3 × G9, ~120W — ~100 sq ft. Quadro 60: 4 × G9, ~160W — ~150–200 sq ft. Max 40W per socket; LED G9 strongly recommended (lower heat protects the stone inside a sealed enclosure, and allows dimmable LED drivers). Dimmable on TRIAC 120V AC.

What materials are used?
Materials are listed in the product specifications above. We use genuine natural materials — alabaster, marble, travertine, solid copper, brass, hand-blown glass, linen, rattan, and ceramic depending on the model.
How do I install the lamp?
Every lamp ships with an installation manual. For heavier fixtures (chandeliers and large pendants), we recommend professional installation by a licensed electrician. Need help finding one? We've partnered with TaskRabbit to connect you with local installers.
What bulbs are compatible?
Bulb type and socket (E27, E14, E12, G9, etc.) are listed in the product specifications above. Most models are LED-compatible. If you need a specific colour temperature or dimmable configuration, leave a note in your cart or contact us before ordering.
Is this lamp dimmable?
The standard model ships non-dimmable. To request a dimmable version, add a note in your cart with the code #dim or contact us at contact@casalolalights.com before placing your order.
Can this be customized?
Yes. We offer custom rod lengths, cable drops, finishes, and sizing at no extra cost on most models. For special requests, email contact@casalolalights.com with the product name and your requirements. Our team will respond with a quote and timeline.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For stone surfaces (alabaster, marble, travertine), never use chemical cleaners, abrasive materials, or wet cloths. For metal finishes (copper, brass), a dry cloth preserves the patina. For fabric shades (linen, cotton), use a soft brush attachment on a low-power vacuum.
How is it packaged?
Every lamp ships in a reinforced wooden crate with high-density foam suspension. All shipments are fully insured. We designed this packaging specifically to protect fragile natural materials during international transit.
How long will delivery take?

Is this lamp compatible with my country's electrical system?

What is the warranty?

Are the lamps smart-home compatible?
