The Linear Alabaster Chandelier is a rectangular frame lined along both long sides with upright panels of hand-cut Spanish alabaster, their tops cut to two heights to form a stepped crown. It comes in black stainless steel or in brass, in two lengths: 100 cm (39.4″) and 120 cm (47.2″), both 30 cm (11.8″) wide and 21 cm (8.3″) high, on a standard 40 cm (15.7″) chain. It is made for a kitchen island or a long dining table.
The alabaster
The panels are cut by hand from solid Spanish alabaster and fitted upright along both long sides of the frame. Alternate panels are cut to two heights, so the top edge steps up and down along the length. The panels in one fixture are left unmatched, with heavier veining beside softer, cloudier stone. You can ask for more veining, less veining, or a random selection when you order.
The frame
On the black version, the frame, square-link chain and hardware are stainless steel with a matte black finish, and the weld lines are left visible for an industrial edge. Against the black, the stone glows warm. The brass version has the same construction in brass, for a warmer, softer look.
Why warm light matters
Alabaster takes on the temperature of the lamp inside it. At 2700K the stone glows honey and cream and the veining shows warm and deep; cooler light turns it grey and chalky. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.
Sizing and placement
The 100 cm (39.4″) suits a table for six to eight, about 180 to 220 cm (71 to 87″), or an island of about 2.4 m (8 ft). The 120 cm (47.2″) suits a table for eight to ten, about 220 to 260 cm (87 to 102″), or an island of about 2.7 to 3 m (9 to 10 ft). Over a table or island, hang the bottom of the chandelier 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface. The black version sits well against charcoal walls, concrete, dark wood and exposed brick.
Suspension
The chandelier hangs on a standard 40 cm (15.7″) square-link chain in the same finish as the frame. Tell us your ceiling height and the chain is made longer or shorter to order, including for double-height lofts.
The light
The lamps sit inside the frame, between the two rows of alabaster, and the light glows out through the stone along both sides. It gives a warm, ambient light along the length of the table or island. Over an island used for prep, keep task lighting alongside it.
Lamping and installation
Ten candle-base lamps, up to 40 W each. Warm white LED at 2700K is recommended: it runs cooler and is kinder to the stone. Bulbs are not included. The 100 cm weighs about 15 kg (33 lb) and the 120 cm about 20 kg (44 lb). The fixture is hardwired; have your electrician fix it to a joist or reinforced blocking.
Care
Switch off and let the lamps cool. Dust the alabaster with a dry cloth only; water and cleaners mark the stone. Wipe the frame with a soft dry cloth, and use no polish on the brass.

We wire every lamp in our workshop for the country it is delivered to. Voltage, plug and electrical standard are set from your delivery address, so there is nothing to choose at checkout. Pieces shipped to the US are fitted with UL-listed drivers and LED components.
The colour temperature is listed in the specifications. A dimmable version, or a warmer or cooler light, can be made at no extra cost: write it in the note at checkout.
Every piece is assembled, wired and switched on at our workshop bench before it is packed. We check the electrics, the fixings and the finish, and nothing is crated until it passes.
Ask us, and we send you a video of your own lamp, lit and working, before it leaves the workshop. It is free.
An installation manual is packed with every lamp. Hardwired fixtures should be installed by a licensed electrician.
For ceiling lights, a standard ceiling box carries about 23 kg (50 lb). Check the weight in the specifications: heavier pieces need a fan-rated box or a mounting plate fixed to a joist.
If a piece arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, email contact@casalolalights.com with your order number and photos. We cover the return shipping and send a free replacement or a full refund, with no restocking fee.
If a parcel is lost, we replace it free or refund it in full. An order not delivered within 90 days of dispatch is refunded automatically.
Every piece carries a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects, from the day it is delivered.
Standard catalogue pieces, including pieces made after you order, can be returned within 30 days of delivery. The piece must be unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging. A 20% restocking fee and return shipping apply.
Choosing a finish, size, dimming option, colour temperature, cable length or plug does not affect your right to return. Bespoke commissions (a non-catalogue size, a structural change or a specially commissioned material, agreed before payment) and items marked final sale cannot be returned for change of mind.
Cancelling
Free within 48 hours of ordering. After that, a charge of up to 20% may apply for materials and work already committed to your piece.
EU and UK customers
Your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal applies, with no restocking fee.

Yes, both ways, at no extra cost. The drop can be shortened for a lower ceiling, or extended in 50 cm (20 in) sections for a higher one, and we set the finished height to your room. For double-height rooms and stairwells, drops beyond 3 m (10 ft) are quoted with a drawing for you to approve before production. Yes. Size, proportions and metal finish can be adapted on most models, and we send you a drawing to approve before production. Changes to wiring, dimming or colour temperature keep the piece returnable; changes to its outer form are made for you alone and cannot be returned. The form, size and finish will match. The stone will not be identical, because every piece of alabaster has its own veining and clouding. If you prefer a calmer or a richer stone, say so in the note at checkout and we select it for you. Before your lamp ships we film it lit, so you see your own stone before it leaves the workshop. On arrival, unpack and test-light it before installation, and send photos of any transit damage before it is fitted.
Yes, at no extra cost. The standard version is not dimmable; write #dim in the note at checkout and we fit a dimmable driver. Tell us the dimmer or smart-home system you use and we match the driver to it. The light is 2700K Warm White as standard; a warmer or cooler colour temperature can be made on request, also at no extra cost. Through alabaster, warm white gives the softest glow.
It weighs Travertino 100 ~15 kg / Travertino 120 ~20 kg. A standard ceiling box carries about 23 kg (50 lb), so a box properly fixed to a joist, not to plasterboard alone, will hold it.
