The Candelora is a candelabra chandelier in brass: slender arms curve up from a small central sphere, each ending in a candle cup with a tall sleeve, around a single stem that rises to a round canopy on a link chain. It is made with six lights, 124 cm (49") across, or eight lights, 156 cm (61.5") across, both 52 cm (20.5") high.
The finish
The brass is finished in Desert Gold from the Casalola metal finish chart: a pale, warm gold with a fine granular glow, softly antiqued so it reads as aged gilt rather than polished metal. It sits well with ivory, linen, travertine and oak, and holds its warmth against a white ceiling when the lamps are off.
The design
The arms are kept thin and spread wide, so the chandelier covers a large table or a big room while staying almost weightless to the eye. There is no glass and no shade: the candle lamps are the light, which gives the piece the calm of a traditional candelabra in a pared-back, modern line.
Choosing a size
The 6-light, 124 cm (49"), suits a dining table of about 200 to 240 cm (79 to 94"), a living room or an entrance hall. The 8-light, 156 cm (61.5"), suits a table of 240 cm (94") and longer, a great room or a double-height entry. Over a table, hang the candle cups 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35") above the surface; in a walkway, keep at least 2.1 m (7 ft) clear beneath it.
Suspension and installation
It hangs from a round canopy on a link chain, and the overall drop can be set anywhere from about 55 cm to 257 cm (21.5 to 101.25"), so it works under a standard ceiling and in a stairwell or double-height space. It can be mounted on a flat or a vaulted ceiling. Hardwired by your electrician. The estimated weight is about 6 to 8 kg (13 to 18 lb) for the 6-light and 8 to 11 kg (18 to 24 lb) for the 8-light.
Lamping
Six or eight E12 candelabra lamps (E14 outside North America), up to 40W each. Because the lamps are bare, the bulb is part of the look: a clear or softly frosted candle-shaped LED at warm white 2700K gives the best glow. Bulbs are not included. Dimming is available on request and suits this piece well.
Care
Switch off and let the lamps cool. Dust the arms and candle sleeves with a soft dry cloth. No metal polish or abrasive cleaners, which would lift the Desert Gold finish. For indoor use only.
Made to order
Drop length and metal finish can be specified before production, with finishes from the Casalola metal finish chart. Dimming and a sloped ceiling adapter are available on request. Trade clients can request drawings and project quantities through our trade program.

Every Casalola lamp is made to order in our workshop. Production begins about two days after your order. Production time and transit time are separate; both are stated below for this lamp.
Each piece is wired for your destination's voltage and plug standard, bench-tested with the lamp lit, then packed in a reinforced wooden crate with foam suspension and shipped fully insured to the USA, EU, UK, Australia, Asia and the Middle East.
Made to order in our workshop. Production begins about two days after your order and takes 2 to 3 weeks, including wiring for your destination and a lit bench test before packing. Transit time below is separate.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Yes, both ways, at no extra cost. The drop can be shortened for a lower ceiling, or extended in 50 cm (20 in) sections for a higher one, and we set the finished height to your room. For double-height rooms and stairwells, drops beyond 3 m (10 ft) are quoted with a drawing for you to approve before production. Yes, at no extra cost. The standard version is not dimmable; write #dim in the note at checkout and we fit a dimmable driver. Tell us the dimmer or smart-home system you use and we match the driver to it. The light is 2700K Warm White as standard; a warmer or cooler colour temperature can be made on request, also at no extra cost.
It weighs about 6–8 kg / 13–18 lb (6 lights) / 8–11 kg / 18–24 lb (8 lights), estimate. A standard ceiling box carries about 23 kg (50 lb), so a box properly fixed to a joist, not to plasterboard alone, will hold it. Installation is hardwired; we recommend a licensed electrician.
