The Honed Alabaster Dome Flush Mount is a softly curved dome of solid Spanish alabaster, carved from a single block and held on a slim brushed brass base. It comes in two compact sizes: Small, 20 cm (7.9″) wide and 10 cm (3.9″) high, and Large, 24 cm (9.4″) wide and 12 cm (4.7″) high. It suits a hallway, entryway, bedroom, bathroom or apartment ceiling.
The alabaster
Each dome is carved from one block of Spanish alabaster and honed to a smooth, soft surface. When it is lit, the natural veining shows through the stone, and no two domes are the same.
The brass
The base is solid brass with a brushed finish, kept slim so the stone reads as the whole fixture.
Why warm light matters
Alabaster glows with the colour of the light inside it. At 2700K the dome turns honey and cream and the veins come forward; cooler light makes it look grey and chalky. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.
Sizing and placement
The Small, at 20 cm (7.9″), suits a hallway, closet, powder room or entryway, or a series down a corridor. The Large, at 24 cm (9.4″), suits a small bedroom, a landing or a bathroom of up to about 3 × 3 m (10 × 10 ft). With a profile of 10 to 12 cm (3.9 to 4.7″), both work on ceilings from about 2.3 m (7.5 ft).
Mounting
The brass base fixes flush to the ceiling, with the dome held just below it.
The light
The lamp sits inside the dome, so the light comes through the stone as a warm, even glow. It is a soft, ambient light for passing through and arriving; in a kitchen or at a desk, add task lighting alongside it.
Lamping and installation
E26 or E27 lamp base. Warm white LED at 2700K. Bulbs are not included. The Small weighs about 2.2 kg (4.9 lb) and the Large about 3.4 kg (7.5 lb). The fixture is hardwired; have it installed by an electrician.
Care
Switch off and let the lamp cool. Dust the alabaster with a soft dry cloth only. Never use water or cleaners on the stone. Wipe the brass with a soft dry cloth, with no polish.

We wire every lamp in our workshop for the country it is delivered to. Voltage, plug and electrical standard are set from your delivery address, so there is nothing to choose at checkout. Pieces shipped to the US are fitted with UL-listed drivers and LED components.
The colour temperature is listed in the specifications. A dimmable version, or a warmer or cooler light, can be made at no extra cost: write it in the note at checkout.
Every piece is assembled, wired and switched on at our workshop bench before it is packed. We check the electrics, the fixings and the finish, and nothing is crated until it passes.
Ask us, and we send you a video of your own lamp, lit and working, before it leaves the workshop. It is free.
An installation manual is packed with every lamp. Hardwired fixtures should be installed by a licensed electrician.
For ceiling lights, a standard ceiling box carries about 23 kg (50 lb). Check the weight in the specifications: heavier pieces need a fan-rated box or a mounting plate fixed to a joist.
If a piece arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, email contact@casalolalights.com with your order number and photos. We cover the return shipping and send a free replacement or a full refund, with no restocking fee.
If a parcel is lost, we replace it free or refund it in full. An order not delivered within 90 days of dispatch is refunded automatically.
Every piece carries a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects, from the day it is delivered.
Standard catalogue pieces, including pieces made after you order, can be returned within 30 days of delivery. The piece must be unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging. A 20% restocking fee and return shipping apply.
Choosing a finish, size, dimming option, colour temperature, cable length or plug does not affect your right to return. Bespoke commissions (a non-catalogue size, a structural change or a specially commissioned material, agreed before payment) and items marked final sale cannot be returned for change of mind.
Cancelling
Free within 48 hours of ordering. After that, a charge of up to 20% may apply for materials and work already committed to your piece.
EU and UK customers
Your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal applies, with no restocking fee.

Yes. This alabaster flush mount can be made in an IP65 version, sealed against dust and water jets, for bathrooms, including the area above a bath or shower, and for covered outdoor spaces such as a porch or loggia. Ask for the IP65 version in the note at checkout, or email us before ordering, and we confirm it before production begins. The form, size and finish will match. The stone will not be identical, because every piece of alabaster has its own veining and clouding. If you prefer a calmer or a richer stone, say so in the note at checkout and we select it for you. Before your lamp ships we film it lit, so you see your own stone before it leaves the workshop. On arrival, unpack and test-light it before installation, and send photos of any transit damage before it is fitted.
Yes. Size, proportions and metal finish can be adapted on most models, and we send you a drawing to approve before production. Changes to wiring, dimming or colour temperature keep the piece returnable; changes to its outer form are made for you alone and cannot be returned. Yes, at no extra cost. The standard version is not dimmable; write #dim in the note at checkout and we fit a dimmable driver. Tell us the dimmer or smart-home system you use and we match the driver to it. The light is 2700K Warm White as standard; a warmer or cooler colour temperature can be made on request, also at no extra cost. Through alabaster, warm white gives the softest glow.
