Three materials, one short vertical line.
Brass arm, polished Italian red marble sphere, alabaster cup — stacked, backlit, mounted to the wall. Thirteen inches total, which is small enough to fit where a full-size sconce would crowd the room, and precise enough that it reads as a piece of sculpture rather than a fixture. Off, it's a small collected object on the wall. On, the alabaster cup diffuses the light into a warm, even glow that flatters whatever stands in front of it — face, mirror, artwork, marble counter.
Where it actually belongs:
- Flanking a bathroom vanity in pairs — the alabaster cup softens the G9 into the kind of light you actually want to see yourself in at 7 a.m. Damp-rated, so it lives comfortably in the real conditions of a bathroom, not just a showroom rendering of one.
- In a powder room where a standard sconce overwhelms the wall. At 5.5" wide, the Totem Petite leaves the negative space around it intact.
- Either side of a bed, clearing the nightstand of a reading lamp entirely. The G9 dims low enough for late-night reading and still bright enough for getting dressed.
- In a dressing room or walk-in closet, mounted at eye level beside the full-length mirror.
- At intervals down a gallery hallway, where each small stacked totem punctuates the wall instead of lighting the whole corridor flat.
About the materials.
The alabaster cup is a natural stone, shaped and finished by hand — which means every cup has its own veining, its own pattern of mineral lines, its own quiet variations in translucency. You can request more veining (the heavily patterned pieces) or less veining (the softer, cloudier pieces) at checkout. If you don't specify, we select one from our stock to match the finish option you've chosen. None of these are identical. That's the point.
The red marble sphere is natural Italian stone, polished to catch the light the way a small planet would. The warm red tone anchors the composition — it's what keeps the piece from reading as pure cool-neutral, and what makes it work against warm wood vanities, travertine, creamy limewashed walls, and red-toned terracotta tile equally.
The arm and backplate are solid brass, not plated. Unlacquered, because lacquer fails unevenly over time and ruins the finish — the brass will develop a warm patina in the bathroom humidity that most buyers end up preferring to the new-from-the-box look.
Two finishes.
Brass — the warm default, reads as traditional-contemporary. Works against walnut, travertine, limewash, creamy marbles, and warm whites.
Brushed black — a soft matte-black brushed finish (not painted, not shiny). The right choice for darker bathrooms, editorial powder rooms, contemporary black vanities, and rooms where the brass would feel too warm against the palette.
Spec'd for the designer.
Small scale is intentional. This is not the sconce to light a 12-foot hallway from one fixture — this is the sconce you hang in pairs, at the right heights, because the design language is jewelry, not architecture. Damp-rated, UL listed for US 120V, CE certified for European projects. Ships with a standard junction-box mount.

Made of Brass, Alabaster. Solid natural alabaster, cut thick enough to glow evenly when lit; the veining and clouding are unique to each piece and never repeat. It is heavier than it looks and cool to the touch — the two easiest ways to tell real stone from resin, which glows flat and feels warm. Solid brass, not plated steel: heavier, it does not chip or peel, and it develops a soft patina that can be polished back at any time.Every Casalola piece is made to order, not taken from stock: the material is checked against the approved sample, the wiring, socket and driver are tested live, and the finished lamp is test-lit and photographed before it is crated.

The G9 socket takes standard LED bulbs; smart-capable G9 bulbs exist from several makers, though the choice is smaller than for E27 or E14 bulbs. Email contact@casalolalights.com or use the live chat — we reply within 24 hours.
This piece takes G9 bulbs, not included, so you choose the brightness. As a guide, a standard 350-lumen LED in each socket gives soft ambient light; for a dining or kitchen island use 1,000–1,200 lumens per socket. Bulb count is on the spec sheet. The alabaster diffuses the light, so the effect is warm and even rather than bright.
Supplied as Branco quente. 2700 K, 4000 K or a three-colour switchable module can be requested at no extra cost — leave a note at checkout. For the softest glow through alabaster, choose 2700–3000 K and a frosted bulb; a clear or cool-white bulb can create a bright spot inside the shade.
Made to order. Production takes 1–3 weeks, then about 3 weeks for insured delivery to your door — about 4–6 weeks in total from order to installation. Every piece is configured for your country's voltage and plug before dispatch and ships free, fully insured, in a reinforced wooden crate. Hardwired wall installation; we recommend a licensed electrician. A plug-in version is available on most models if you prefer no wiring. Unpack, inspect and test-light the piece before installation; any transit damage must be reported with photos before the fixture is fitted.
Dry, soft cloth only. Alabaster, travertine and marble are porous natural stone: water, sprays and chemicals soak in and leave marks that cannot be removed, so never use a damp cloth on the stone. Metal parts: dry microfiber cloth. Unlacquered brass and copper patinate naturally; a mild brass polish restores the original tone if preferred, kept away from any stone or fabric. Switch the light off and let it cool before cleaning.
Casalola lighting is lab-tested and certified to international electrical safety standards. The marks that apply to this piece — UL Listed, CSA, CE, CCC, PSE or RCM depending on the destination — are listed in the specification table, and the voltage, plug and wattage are configured for your address before dispatch. Every piece carries a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Certification documents are available on request.
Cancellation is free within 2 days of ordering; a 15% fee applies from day 3 to day 7 and 20% from day 8, as production will have begun. After delivery, unused pieces in original packaging can be returned within 30 days at 20% plus return shipping. EU customers exercising the 14-day statutory withdrawal receive a full refund minus return shipping. Pieces customized to change their external structure are not returnable.
